Decades ago

Ural Scientific School

Decades ago a large scientific and technical cluster was formed in the Urals. The region of Russia has accumulated scientific knowledge and R&D expertise in different sectors – from light industry to aerospace. Whole research institutes were relocated  to the Urals, so new ideas and inventions amounted to thousands. As a result, the Ural Scientific School was founded. It trained excellent engineers and researchers capable of solving technical and scientific problems, develop high-precision instruments. 

The company was founded in 1989 by biomedical researchers, engineers and physicians from Ural Scientific School. Our greatest achievements are closely connected with the name of MD Prof. Boris Zislin, who was the Chief anesthesiologist of Ural region for 37 years. Due to his cutting edge ideas we develop innovative medical technologies and manufacture a range of medical devices for anesthesiology and Intensive Care.

The company was founded in 1989 by biomedical researchers, engineers and physicians from Ural Scientific School. Our greatest achievements are closely connected with the name of MD Prof. Boris Zislin, who was the Chief anesthesiologist of Ural region for 37 years. Due to his cutting edge ideas we develop innovative medical technologies and manufacture a range of medical devices for anesthesiology and Intensive Care

Monitoring equipment business

In the 1990s, Treaton was developing its monitoring equipment business – first producing pulse oximeters, and then also patient monitors. This medical equipment was supplied to the Ural region at first, gradually conquering all of the Russian market. The company started building a respiratory equipment business in cooperation with the Ural Medical School. Treaton was the first in Russia to develop high-frequency jet ventilators used to provide ventilation in case of “compromised airways” making tracheal intubation impossible, in case of intrathoracic interventions on lungs, etc. Today, the company is the only Russian manufacturer of this type of ventilators. We develop this area in the country through cooperation with Russia’s leading medical experts, performing research and delivering training series for young clinicians.
Monitoring equipment business

Starting ventilators

In 2003, Treaton started producing volume-type ventilators. The first one was Zisline MV200 that had several mandatory and assisted ventilation modes and a built-in turbine. Respiratory monitoring and patient monitoring became some of the company’s top priorities in developing the ventilator business, and we are now one of the global leaders by monitoring type variety. Treaton engineers were developing monitoring channels that were gradually added to patient monitors’ and ventilators’ features: e.g. in 1992, we created the first pulse oximetry channel in Russia; in 2003, a sidestream capnography channel and so on. At the moment, Treaton’s portfolio includes 11 medical technologies developed in-house.

OEM solutions

Since 2013, Treaton has been producing its own mainstream capnographs whose success triggered development of the OEM business. Since late 2010s, the company has been actively developing its OEM solutions and today we consider it to be our major export potential. Treaton medical equipment is now sold almost all over the world, and our OEM solutions have earned the trust of some of the industry’s biggest players. From 2018 to 2022, the company’s size tripled. Today, we have become a part of the industry as a whole and are dealing in the global market. Our goal is making sure there are more leaders than followers. We have made highly efficient technologies available to everyone.
