High Frequency Jet Ventilation

High frequency jet ventilation is optimal in several cases:

  • Support for bronchoscopic and laryngoscope research;

  • Surgery of the larynx, trachea and bronchi, accompanied by opening their lumen;

  • Surgery of the lungs, including reconstructive surgery on the trachea and major bronchi;

  • General surgical intervention for patients with concomitant cardiovascular disease;

  • Ventilation conduct in case of tracheal or bronchopleural fistula;

  • Chest trauma with damage to the lung parenchyma;

  • Acute lung injury (adult respiratory distress syndrome):

  • Transfer of the patient from conventional ventilation to spontaneous.
