High frequency jet ventilation is optimal in several cases:
Support for bronchoscopic and laryngoscope research;
Surgery of the larynx, trachea and bronchi, accompanied by opening their lumen;
Surgery of the lungs, including reconstructive surgery on the trachea and major bronchi;
General surgical intervention for patients with concomitant cardiovascular disease;
Ventilation conduct in case of tracheal or bronchopleural fistula;
Chest trauma with damage to the lung parenchyma;
Acute lung injury (adult respiratory distress syndrome):
Transfer of the patient from conventional ventilation to spontaneous.
